Backpocket, described
In one line
Backpocket is a job application tracker and answer bank: write a good answer once, and it finds it for you every time a form asks something similar.
In a paragraph
Backpocket helps people applying for jobs, grad schemes, courses and funding stop rewriting the same answers. Save every answer you write, tagged by what it shows off, and paste in a new question to find the ones that fit, even when it's worded differently. Applications live on one board with deadline reminders and interview briefings. Sector packs add the frameworks used by the Civil Service, the NHS, teaching, the police, law firms and grant funders. It never writes for you: everything is your own words. Free forever, with 14 days of Pro to start.

Backpocket was built for the way applications really work: the same handful of questions, asked again and again in slightly different words, under deadline pressure. Instead of a folder of documents called "final v3", every answer is tagged by the skills it shows, keeps shorter versions for tighter word limits, and records where it was sent and whether it led to an interview. Importing a doc of old answers takes about 30 seconds. Trim mode cuts an answer to a word limit by switching sentences off, without rewriting anything. Once someone's settled in a job, Off-Season mode turns it into a wins journal for their next review or CV update.
The free plan holds 10 applications, 10 answers and 15 stories, with no time limit and no card. Pro is £4.99 a month or £39.99 a year. Backpocket is made in the UK by Sebastian, through Cyde Enterprises.
